Interestingly, sources said it would take the position above the standard Tiguan regarding engines.
Under the new bonnet of the 2020 VW Tiguan will be the same drivetrain as for its predecessors. The compact SUV is using a 2.0-liter turbocharged unit with the capability to produce 185 hp and 220 lb-ft of torque. The small crossover is not too strong, so you can tow only 1,500 pounds. The new 2020 VW Tiguan will arrive early next year. Coupe version will have a premiere then, but the sales will start later. Price of the refreshed 2020 Tiguan will be the same for base editions, while the coupe starts $2,000 higher. Top of the range R-Line costs $40,000 which is $15k more than the entry-level crossover. Well, some R-Line editions are available for $35,000.
