2019 VW Atlas Engine Details
The approaching 2019 VW Atlas will now come with two drivetrain options. A 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 with a 235 HP and 260 lb-ft of torque is a popular choice. This engine comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The new power unit is 3.6-liter V6 and it can produce up to 280 HP and 265 lb-ft of torque. Like the first one, this engine also uses an 8-speed automatic transmission. Both powertrains are available with either front or all-wheel drive.
The Volkswagen now offered more options to the customers, so the ideal setup is a matter of choice for many buyers. Off-road modes will let you adopt new Atlas to a different weather and terrain conditions. Additionally, on-road modes like Normal, Sport and Eco are available as too.

2019 VW Atlas MSRP and Release Date
Atlas is available with five trim levels. The price for a base model will start at around $31,000, while the top-range SEL Premium model will go up to $50,000. While the release date is not official yet, we can expect the 2019 VW Atlas to hit the car markets by the end of the year. Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and Ford Explorer are the most likely competitors.
