The interior of the upcoming 2019 Volkswagen T-Roc is nowhere near the rest of the VW’s vehicles. Plenty of trim accenting makes the cabin look and feel upscale. On top of that, the layout is perfect and the cabin will benefit from a lot of soft-touch surfaces and materials. The elegant lines are running across the dashboard and instrument cluster, while the door panels look perfect.
Generally, everything inside looks fresh and innovative and even better, there is plenty of room. Cargo space is also excellent and with rear seats folded flat, the cargo area is rated at 55 cubic feet. Those figures are slightly below the class-leading numbers. Safety System
As we already said the newest 2019 Volkswagen T-Roc comes with many innovative features. The standard trim will bring font airbag for driver and passengers, belt pretensioner, seat belt reminder, belt load limiter, side head airbag for all passengers, side chest airbag, side pelvis airbag and Isofix.
Also in the standard package falls AEB pedestrian, AEB city, AEB inter-urban and lane assist system. However, the knee airbags are not available in this model.
2019 Volkswagen T-Roc R-line
Many models from this company are getting the R-line package and the new 2019 Volkswagen T-Roc is no exception. This high-performance version of the compact crossover SUV is caught testing in few locations and its body is camouflaged. From the information that we got the model 2019 Volkswagen T-Roc R-line will get a same quad-exhaust system like the Golf R model.
It will also get the new front faschia intakes and the grill of it will get some transformations. As for the interior of this model, there are no spy images at this moment but we expect many changes and modifications.
However, under the hood, it will get the same engine like Golf R a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4. That engine is able to give 292 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque to Golf R model. In some countries, the same type of engine gives a different output of 305 hp and 295 lb-ft. However, we expect similar numbers to the new model.
2019 Volkswagen T-Roc will get many powertrain options
As mentioned, the 2019 Volkswagen T-Roc will arrive with a wide range of powertrains. If you are a fan of petrol fuel, a 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0-liter engines are available. A 1.0-liter engine makes up to 113 HP and 147 lb-ft of torque. A bigger, 1.5-liter unit returns 147 HP and 184 lb-ft of torque while the 2.0-liter can burst 187 HP and 236 lb-ft of twist.
There are two diesel engines available as well. A 1.6-liter is similar to the 1.0-liter petrol unit, but it makes more torque, 184 lb-ft of torque to be exact. A 2.0-liter diesel mill comes with a 147 HP and 250 lb-ft of torque. This type of engine is able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 7 sec and it gives combined/city/highway 28-36/24-31/36-46 mpg. An all-wheel-drive setup is optional and petrol drivetrains come with a 6-speed manual transmission. Diesel options are available with a 6-speed both manual and automatic gearbox.
