The approaching 2019 Toyota RAV4 is a compact SUV that comes with decent power, beautiful design, good fuel economy and modern interior. RAV4 is not that off-road capable as some other rivals, however, it offers strong resale value and is more than reliable.

Toyota’s Safety Sense-P suite adds plenty of driver assist and safety features, and this SUV comes with five stars safety rating. Hybrid is also on the offer, and 2019 RAV4 is available in a couple of trim levels and the price is in line with equipment that specified trim brings.

The interior of the upcoming 2019 Toyota RAV4 is packed with soft-touch materials and high-quality plastics. The interior is very comfortable and pleasing. The base model comes with contrasting colors, and carbon-fiber cladding on the gearshift levels and doorsills. However, the leather is excluded but SofTex materials are doing a good job. The seats are comfy and supportive, and higher trim levels are including lumbar support. The center will get a 7.0-inch touchscreen system running Toyota’s Entune 3.0 software as standard or bigger 8.0-inch screen with satellite radio, and navigation is optional.

Legroom at the rear is good just like the cargo space behind rear seats. However, heated cloth seats and heated steering wheel are optional on the base model and standard on the Adventure model.

Thanks to Toyota’s Safety Sense P suit, this SUV features a pedestrian detection, collision-mitigation braking and adaptive cruise control as a standard. Safety rating is among the best in class as a result.

Trims Features

The new model will be available in few trims and hybrid variant will get the new one XSE. The base one and standard trim LE will get much more features if we compare it with the predecessor. It will get a beautiful colored 7.0-inch display with Bloototh connectivity and plenty auxiliary and USB inputs. Also, this trim offers a great sound system with six speakers AM/FM/CD, Toyota Safety Sense package, integrated backup camera display and AWD system with Dynamic Torque Control.

The next trim XLE adds advanced Entune system, dual zone climate control with air filter, satellite and HD Radio system and better front leather seats. Also, like the trim above it will get premium audio system and navigation. For the safety, this trim will be available with features like blind spot monitor, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) and with jam protection in height-adjustable power liftgate.

However, the SE trim is the recommended one with great sport suspension, sport shift lever, SofTex seating, rear cross-traffic alert, floor mats and door sill protectors. The adventure trim that is made for off-road will add stylish 18-in. 5-spoke Black alloy wheels, Toyota Safety Sense, blacked roof rails, heated cloth seats and elevating ride that is height to 6.5 inches.

With the LImited trim and Platinum comes 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, attractive power liftgate, auto-dimming rearview mirror, Entune Premium audio and Integrated navigation, push-button start, and more. The platinum trim will also hands-free, power liftgate with the foot-activated system, 5-door Smart Key System and Bird’s Eye View Camera.

The forthcoming 2019 Toyota RAV4 will hit the dealerships with two drivetrain options. A gasoline-powered 2.5-liter four-cylinder mil is rated at 176 HP and 172 lb-ft of torque.

This engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive setup is available as an option. Tow rating is rated at 3.500 pounds. The second drivetrain option is a Hybrid of course, as we mentioned. Fuel economy with base engine is 22 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.

The newest 2019 Toyota RAV4 starts at $26,000. Top-range Platinum model with an all-wheel-drive system could cost slightly over $38,000. Hybrid version starts at $31,000.
