2019 Nissan Juke Specs, Nismo RS, Redesign

Juke is a modern crossover, but it wasn’t too interesting to buyers in the US. So, the company turned to replacement – Nissan Kicks. This vehicle is now a new representative in the North American market. However, that doesn’t mean we can consider its predecessor as a part of history. The 2019 Nissan Juke will still come in other countries.

Opinions are divided. Some experts believe that successor on the US market will have more fans. Also, the public is already praising design for the upcoming Kicks. On the other hand, there are still fans thinking it can’t replace Juke. Whatsoever, Kicks did it, and all fans from the US will have to accept Kicks or to look for some other model during the next purchase.

2019 Nissan Juke Engine

The 2019 Nissan Juke will keep the current 1.6-liter drivetrain. The reliable unit is delivering nice outputs thanks to a turbocharger mated to an inline-four system. However, new Juke will come with few optional modes. First thing buyers will choose is a transmission. For 2019 Juke the company offers 6-speed manual gearbox for base crossover. Higher trims are coming with an automatic box. Depending on trim, there are 6, 7, or 8 gears. By default, the SUV is using front wheels for a drive, while AWD comes optionally. Of course, this setup will drop mileage from 30 mpg to 28 mpg combined.

Nissan Juke Nismo RS

The next option 2019 Nissan Juke is going to offer is Nismo RS version. Fans already know what this suffix means. Nevertheless, the performance-oriented crossover will use the same engine. However, different setup will raise the horsepower from 190 to 215. Also, torque jumps from 180 lb-ft to 210 pound-feet. It doesn’t affect the fuel economy as we could expect. The Nismo RS will return 26-27 mpg.
