Lincoln had the honor to officially open the latest Auto Show in Los Angeles with the presentation of an updated MKC. This model that brings a refined design and a step further compared with the parent company, Ford. The 2019 Lincoln MKC could come in Black Label trim.
The MKC was originally introduced in 2013 as a concept vehicle. Production model arrived two years later. This was Lincoln’s entry into the premium crossover class. The first MKC was produced on the same base as the Ford Kuga. However, the two products were pretty different. Now, sales are constantly jumping. With 2019 Lincoln MKC, bosses hope to duplicate the figure by 2020.
2019 Lincoln MKC Redesign
About half of the customers of this crossover spent money on Lincoln for the first time in their lives. The great merit for this has a youthful design. The 2019 Lincoln MKC will have an open relationship with cousins from Ford, Kuga, and Escape. Also, for next season, it will be more approximate with more modern models within the same company, such as Continental and Navigator.
Exterior
The front part with a larger radiator grille and LED headlights are the highlight of 2019 Lincoln MKC. With these, the SUV definitely looks more luxurious. This crossover has lost its aggressive lines. But, that may not matter as Lincoln targets more customers who want a comfortable and quiet ride. As in the past, the most luxurious Black Label version will also be part of the offer. With it, the company hopes to attract buyers with a deep pocket that previously drove exclusively German competition.

Lincoln did not pay much attention to the interior. However, this is not a disadvantage. The 2019 Lincoln MKC comes with a quiet and quality interior. It is extremely well organized and does not have major flaws. Most attention is on the Black Label. This trim allows buyers to choose between three different styles of leather, wood and chrome solutions. The new monitor is standard and offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features. The 2019 MKC offers a system known as Lincoln Way. With it, the driver is able to make many commands via a mobile phone.
2019 Lincoln MKC Drivetrain, Specs, Hybrid
When most competitors provide only 4-cylinder engines, no one should be surprised that Lincoln did the same. For 2019 Lincoln MKC, two turbocharged units will be on the offer. Fans could see these engines in some other Ford and Lincoln models around the world. The standard powertrain is a 2.0-liter engine. It develops 245 hp and 275 pound-feet of torque.
Furthermore, there is an optional 2.3-liter drivetrain. This mill comes with 285 hp and 05 lb-ft of torque. The front-wheel drive is standard. Buyers can also pick a four-wheel drive. One of the rare mechanical changes for 2019 Lincoln MKC is the gearbox. A new 8-pace replaced the six-speed transmission.
2019 Lincoln MKC Hybrid
The 2019 MKC is also possible in a hybrid version. However, this is just a rumor. By pairing a 2.0-liter unit with electric batteries, Lincoln would boost overall outputs. The crossover wouldn’t gain a significant amount of power and torque, as it is the case with the mileage. Whatsoever, we still don’t know the power of these batteries, so we can’t talk about increase volume.
2019 Lincoln MKC Price
With good sales results in the US and China, Lincoln has no reason for major changes over the next few years. So, we will have to wait to see the debut of a brand-new model. By then, the 2019 Lincoln MKC will meet requirements of the market. At an initial price of $33,000, the refreshed crossover is not too expensive for a luxury vehicle.
