When the I-Pace SUV entered the production in 2018, the whole industry was stunned. An all-electric model was finally in production, although many experts thought it is impossible to happen. Now, the 2020 Jaguar I-Pace is the next edition of the crossover, which is ready to improve the vehicle and offer new technology.

The number of awards is showing the achievement of the I-Pace crossover SUV. Now, the Jaguar – Land Rover corporation is preparing a new move. The most significant change is a new battery that will increase the range of the 2020 Jaguar I-Pace.  According to unconfirmed rumors, the vehicle will go over 300 miles in one charge. Also, refilling the electric battery will be faster. Styling remains pretty much the same, while the interior could get some new features and latest advanced technology. Currently, the I-Pace EV is good for 235 miles in one refill. Thanks to the 90-kW battery, the SUV delivers 395 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque. The system recharges very quickly. Standard outlets will refill the battery in 13 hours. It takes 10 hours to get 80 percent back. Of course, the quick charge stations will need far less time. For example, on the 50-kWh high-speed charger will do the same in less than 1.5 hours. For 80 percent charge, it takes only 40 mins. This is still a new technology, so buyers are not keen on purchasing these kinds of units. Yet. However, the future is in electrification, since more and more companies are investing in greener powertrains. To make the offer for 2020 Jaguar I-Pace the UK carmaker will keep its warranty at 7 years/ 100,000 miles.

The new 2020 Jaguar I-Pace will arrive soon. The company will present it by the end of this year. With the new engine, it is going to debut at some of the biggest car shows in the US. Also, the new I-Pace will be available in China and the UK, while we still don’t know when it is coming to Europe. Interesting, the Chinese market of electric and hybrid vehicles is growing, so the premiere of the new SUV could happen there as well. As one of the biggest polluters in the world, the Chinese government is working on greener sources of power, at least in the automotive industry.

The price is not too affordable at all. The base models of the 2020 Jaguar I-Pace will cost over $75,000 after the SUV gets a new engine. Still, there are more luxurious trim levels. SE will cost $80,000 and HSE $85,000. The starting price will be now closer to its only rival, Tesla Model X. However, the US carmaker is offering a high-performance version with 300 miles of range for nearly $100k.

The 2020 Jaguar I-Pace will be packed with a lot of advanced features and equipment. Leatherette interior and premium audio system are standard. 8-way power seats for the front row and heating are exactly what we can expect from the luxury vehicle. Outside, the base trim includes 18-inch wheels, while the upper vehicles are using larger rims. Blind-spot monitoring, emergency braking, lane departure warning, and many other aid features are available. Well, the new 2020 I-Pace will add more autonomous drive system parts. Still, the UK carmaker must improve this segment to catch up with Tesla. Model X is already at Level 3 of the autonomous drive.

Heating for rear seats, or audio system with more speakers and watts are available for higher trim levels of the 2020 Jaguar I-Pace. Fog lights and ambient cabin lighting are more features you can add to your ride. Buyers are praising the smart navigation system.
