Base Ford Escape will use a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with FWD. This engine creates 170 HP. Ford Escape SE use a 1.5-liter EcoBoost turbocharged engine with FWD. This powertrain can produce up to 180 HP and 180 lb-ft of torque. Ford Escape SEL uses the same engine but with AWD system and slightly more horsepower. Exclusive Ford Escape Titanium comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. It packs 250 HP and 275 lb-ft of torque.
As for the acceleration and top speed, this model will be able to go from 0 to 60 mph in 7.1 sec. Furthermore, the top speed is 116 mph.
Towing Capacity
In this section, this model will have great numbers. For the trailering, it comes with Dead Weight Hitch – Max Trailer Wt 1000 lbs, Dead Weight Hitch – Max Tongue Wt 100 lbs, Wt Distributing Hitch – Max Trailer Wt 1000 lbs and Wt Distributing Hitch – Max Tongue Wt 150 lbs. The new model will be capable of maximum tow 3500 lbs. However, this towing capacity is for the Titanium model.
2019 Ford Escape Energi Plug-in Hybrid model
The manufacturer is currently working on the new Hybrid models that will include Ford Escape Energi plug-in hybrid, Expedition SUV hybrid and Lincoln models. The newest model 2019 Ford Escape Energi Plug-in Hybrid is also announced for the upcoming year. The model will have under the hood a 2.0-liter engine and electric motor. This engines will generate maximum output of 185 HP. We also have information that will have fuel economy 32 mpg in a combined drive. As for the exterior and interior look compared with the base models, the Plug-in Hybrid model is not much different.
2019 Ford Escape Price and Release Date
With 2019 Ford Escape, it all comes to the trim level you choose. The base price is $25,000, and more recommendable Escape SE is $27,000. SEL trim starts at $29,500 and Titanium trim is around $35,000. As for the Energi Plug-in Hybrid model we dont have information about its price.
