The new generation of the Dacia Sandero is on the way. After the initial success, the company is expanding its lineup and makes its existing models better. That is the case with the Sandero crossover, which already has a special Stepway version. In the future, as a part of the new generation, we can expect to see the hybrid engine and various upgrades inside the cabin. The new, third generation will arrive as 2020 Dacia Sandero during this year.
The next series of the vehicle will leap forward in design and performance. The cosmetic update includes changes all around the crossover. Also, the 2020 Dacia Sandero could get new engines for its lineup. We already mentioned hybrid, but another petrol or diesel units are in the mix.

This one is quite old since we used to see it in discontinued Clio back in 2000-2005. Now, the new Sandero will share the architecture with Logan sedan. Renault will use a CMF-B platform for both vehicles.
Production and Release Date
Big changes are on the way. The 2020 Sandero is about to become the first Dacia built outside France. Well, it was a Romanian brand before Renault took a charge. The plant will be opened by 2020 and all vehicles based on the CMF platform will be built there. So, the Dacia returns home. Of course, there are diesel options. Well-known 1.5-liter DCI can be tuned to create between 65-100 hp. For the next-gen Sandero, it will probably be 95 horsepower. This engine needs the least to sprint 0-60 mph. After upgrades, the crossover will stop the clock under 12 seconds. The fuel consumption is also incredible, with 3.9 l/100 km (over 60 mpg).

The 2020 Dacia Sandero Stepway also gets a revisit. This is an off-road oriented version of the crossover, with the higher stance. It gains an extra inch of ground clearance, as well as some protective upgrades. Roof rails are there when you head to adventures, plastic covers around wheel arches, and skid plates. Well, we will see more improvements.
The last edition of Stepway drew attention, and now it is time to make another step forward. Well, the eye-catching price is definitely the major advantage. With the starting cost at 7,000 euros, you will hardly find any other offer. Well, upper trim levels will exceed 10,000 euros, and go even up to 15,000. However, the future 2020 Dacia Sander is going to offer more options and features, especially if the hybrid model arrives.
