The upcoming 2019 Dacia Duster is a compact SUV that is very affordable, it offers plenty of trim levels, roomy interior, and great performance. The new Duster will be presented at the 2018 Frankfurt Motor Show later this year and we assume it will be no different from the current model.
This SUV comes with slightly redesigned exterior and many upgrades inside the cabin, mostly high-tech features that are missing. It will be available in variants with four or two doors. Both versions will be very spacious and comfortable.
2019 Dacia Duster Exterior is Slightly Redesigned

Dimensionally, the forthcoming 2019 Duster is the same but new Dacia’s SUV comes with 8.26-inch of ground clearance and with reduced crossing angles. Romanian automaker promised more technical information at the Frankfurt Motor Show. As the current one model, the new 2019 Dacia Duster will come with paints Glacier White, Cinnamon, Slate Gray, Pearl Black, Mercury and Khaki. The most popular and the standard one is the white paint. This color is free, while others cost additionally $495.
2019 Dacia Duster Interior gets a huge upgrade
Inside, the 2019 Dacia Duster is much improved. Interior is a category where this SUV struggled a lot over the years, so the company decided to give it a huge upgrade. The highlight is new infotainment system that sits on the upper half of the center console. This system now adds a 7.0-inch display, multi-view camera, and navigation. The cabin is roomy, comfortable and will easy accumulate five passengers. The new 2019 Dacia Duster will come with few trims. The newest trims are Access, Air and Nav+. Furthermore, the Nav+ trim will add Dacia’s MediaNav Evolution infotainment system. Also in this trim will be available seven-inch touchscreen, reverse camera, rear parking sensors, satellite navigation, heated and electrically adjustable door mirrors and the leather steering wheel is also fitted. The features like Air conditioning, Bluetooth, electric front windows, Alloy wheels and color bumpers are standard on Air trim.
Advanced Safety Features
As for the safety, the Romanian carmaker will introduce the new advanced safety system in 2019 Dacia Duster. Furthermore, the safety is now better thanks to a blind spot monitoring.
The new model will also include autonomous braking, front airbags, seatbelt pretensioner, belt load limiter, side head airbag, side chest airbag, Isofix, seat belt reminder and speed assistance.This all features will be available in standard trim. However, the features like knee airbags, integrated child seat and lane assist system are not present in this year model.
2019 Dacia Duster Engine Performance and Fuel Economy
Under the hood of this SUV, the options will remain the same as 2019 Dacia Duster is using the same engines as before. Two petrol and one diesel unit are on the offer. The first drivetrain is a 1.6-liter petrol engine that can produce 115 HP and it comes with front-wheel drive setup or four-wheel drive optional.
The second engine is a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol that returns 125 HP. This unit offers both front and all-wheel drive. When it comes to diesel powertrain, the 2019 Duster opted for a 1.5-liter that delivers around 109 HP. When it comes to a transmission, petrol engines are using a 5-speed manual gearbox, while diesel drivetrain will be available with a six-speed automatic or manual one.
The driving this 2019 Dacia Duster is very pleasant and the cabin is very quiet. Also, it will accelerate in 10.4 seconds from 0-62mph. The diesel engine 1,5 liter will provide best-in-range fuel economy of around 64.2mpg. However, the model with 1,6 liter will give 44mpg. All model comes with two- or four-wheel drive. If one pick Nav+, it will get a six-speed automatic with the diesel engine.
2019 Dacia Duster Price and Release Date
The 2019 Dacia Duster is shockingly affordable and the price will circle between $12,000 and $20,000 depending on a trim level you choose. The Dacia’s newest SUV will hit the 2018 Frankfurt Motor Show later this year, before releasing next year. The model that will compete with the 2019 Dacia Duster is the newest Nissan Qashqai.
