2019 Chevrolet Blazer will be released next year on the 50th anniversary of the first model

Resurrecting the iconic Blazer model is exactly what Chevrolet needed at this moment. This crossover SUV is returning after 13 years and the upcoming 2019 Chevrolet Blazer will look amazing. Slotted between the Equinox and Traverse models, new Blazer offers two rows of seating and it can accommodate up to five persons. It will ride on the same architecture as the Traverse and there are three trim levels available, the base, RS, and Premier. Chevy decides to give its latest model two powertrain options and plenty of amenities.

This crossover will be built in Mexico, or Ramos Arizpe to be exact. The 2019 Blazer also offers a two-wheel drive as standard, traditional SUV’s bold styling, and unique interior. Opt for top trim levels and you will get an all-wheel drive, 21-inch wheels, and black-out appearance.

2019 Chevrolet Blazer exterior appearance

The 2019 Chevrolet Blazer comes with an aggressive styling and imposing appearance. While it slots between the Equinox and Traverse models, new Blazer will look nowhere near them. Moreover, Blazer is perhaps only one of a few crossovers in the car market that looks so mean. The reason for that kind of styling is because the designers took famous Camaro model as an inspiration. The headlights are almost the same, just like the split-grille design. Those headlights are very thin and are adding a pair of LED strips.

The grille is also Camaro-based with a bowtie badge and trapezoidal shape and honeycomb styling. To the sides, this crossover isn’t that much aggressive and the styling is cleaner. The 18-inch wheels are standard while you can opt for 21-inch wheels from the list of optional equipment. An RS version adds a black-out appearance while the Premier model adds plenty of chrome styling cues.

2019 Chevrolet Blazer interior

2019 Chevrolet Blazer interior is modern and comfort

The interior is looking very modern and upscale. First of all, the infotainment display is taken from the Camaro, and the pair of A/C vents are placed in the center stack. Most of the shapes inside the cabin are looking rounded and cool. The cabin looks modern and the level of comfort is premium. The 2019 Chevrolet Blazer can accommodate up to five passengers and the seats are looking sporty. It comes with two row of seats.

A padded knee area is a nice move from Chevy, just like the panoramic power sunroof. The heated steering wheel is available just like the front seats with the heating and cooling options. All those features are optional, the same stands for the 4G LTE Wi-Fi, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. The safety rating is high thanks to the adaptive cruise control, rear camera, and blind spot monitoring.

Fuel-economy of this model hasn’t yet been revealed, but we expect some better numbers a bit if we compare it to the Acadia model since the GMC manufacturer is using a six-speed automatic.

Towing ability for the V6 models is 4,500 pounds and Chevy offers Hitch View and Hitch Guidance system as options. On top of that, both engines will feature a stop/start technology and direct injection system.
