The new 2020 Cadillac XT6 is going to be larger than the flagship Caddie XT5. Well, the flagship model will help its bigger stablemate by borrowing some design solutions. Also, the upcoming SUV will add some unique upgrades that will make it more appealing. Spy shots are there to confirm the existence, while the entire unveiling is set for the second half of January when NAIAS 2019 is taking place. From next year, this show will happen in June. So, the Cadillac XT6 2020 could be the star of the last North American International Auto Show as we knew it so far.
2020 Cadillac XT6 Engine, Specs
The base powertrain for the 2020 Cadillac XT6 will be a 3.6-liter V6 unit. A naturally-aspirated engine is capable to produce 335 hp and 285 lb-ft of torque. Well, the turbo-four 2.0-l engine is pretty capable with outputs of 260 hp and 290 lb-ft of torque. We already mentioned CT6 sedan. This car also offers a hybrid drivetrain. The 2020 Cadillac XT6 SUV is not going to offer this setup in its first run. After 2021 season we could see it as well.
2020 Cadillac XT6 Configuration
The 2020 Cadillac XT6 SUV will pick up the best from other Caddies. Premium vehicle is going to be comfortable, aggressive, and most of all, safe and reliable. We know it is going to be larger than the flagship model XT5. Extra space is going to be used for the third row of seats. According to spy photos, passengers will have enough headroom in the third row, since the roof is not lowered at the back. On the other hand, we will see how much space will be left for legs and cargo. Finally, a two-row versions is not spied yet, so it is a mystery if the Cadillac XT6 2020 is going to offer such configuration.
Outside, we expect the mix of XT5 crossover SUV, CT6, and the new Escala concept. Whatsoever, Cadillac will give its best to promote the new SUV, as they did with its smaller sibling XT4, which arrives as 2019 year model. We doubt the GM will make any mistake with XT6, so we can’t wait to see all details about the new SUV.

Inside, the cabin is going to be loaded with premium features and materials. Leather seats will offer heating, cooling, even massage at high-end trims. Besides that, the existing infotainment system, popular CUE (Cadillac User Experience) will head into a new generation soon. We could see its debut in 2020 Cadillac XT6. That would be a smart move by the US company, though. Of course, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are there for the new SUV. Besides these, there will be a lot more apps. We can just take a look at XT4 and XT5 and see that the list is pretty long to mention all the cool stuff. Drivers will need some time to learn all options their vehicle is offering.
