2019 Cadillac XT5 Interior and Amenities
The cabin of an all-new 2019 Cadillac XT5 looks elegant and on top of that, it is really quiet. There are some nice finishes inside the XT5 and the whole interior comes with great materials. This includes aluminum, carbon fiber and wood. XT5 is one of a few midsize SUVs that does not offer a third row. So the second row comes with a great space, and the color schemes boost the whole interior a bit more. Comfort is great no matter where you seat and XT5 offers cargo space that is among the best.
Amenities like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard on all models and we personally like a Cadillac User Experience infotainment system. The graphics are more than good, the response is quick and the touchscreen is intuitive. Wi-Fi and phone charging are also a part of standard features.
However, you will also get to choose few interior combinations like Cirrus with Dark Titanium accents, Carbon Plum with Jet Black accents, Sahara Beige with Jet Black accents, Jet Black with Jet Black accents and Maple Sugar with Jet Black accents.
Luxury, Premium Luxury and Platinum trim offers
As we already told at the beginning of this text the newest 2019 Cadillac XT5 will be available with few trims, exactly three trims Luxury, Premium Luxury and Platinum. All trims will possess great standard features like 18-inch wheels, leather-wrapped steering wheel, keyless entry, dual-zone climate and power liftgate.
For the entertainment, it comes with Apple CarPlay connectivity, 8-speaker Bose audio system, 4G LTE with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. In the standard equipment the features like rearview camera, drivers knee airbags, dual front, front and rear head-curtain are also included.
However, the Premium Luxury and Platinum trims will also add Tri-zone climate control, UltraView sunroof, 14-speaker audio system, head-up display, ventilated seats, 20-inch wheels. For the safety, this trims will be offered with adaptive cruise control, automatic park assist, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning and automatic front braking. This all safety features is available in Driver-assist options.
2019 Cadillac XT5 Engine and Transmission
While Cadillac’s competitors are opting for smaller turbocharged engines, the 2019 Cadillac XT5 offers a large 3.6-liter V6. This is another thing that parts XT5 from the crowd. This powertrain can produce 310 HP and 271 lb-ft of torque.
This engine runs on a regular gasoline and is coming with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard but all-wheel drive setup is available on all models, even Base model. With the full fuel tank of 21,7 gallons, this model will have cruising range on the highway of 542.50 miles.
2019 Cadillac XT5 Fuel Economy and Features
The new model 2019 Cadillac XT5 comes also with features technologies like variable-valve timing, auto stop/start, Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation and direct injection.
With this features, this model will have better EPA rating. Furthermore, the mode with front wheel drive system FWD will score 19/26 mpg. However, if one adds all-wheel drive AWD it will get 18/26 mpg.
2019 Cadillac XT5 Price and Release Date
The upcoming 2019 Cadillac XT5 starts at $41,500 with front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive will cost additional $3,000 and the top-line Platinum model will cost around $64,500. The new XT5 SUV will become available in the second half of 2018.
