It’s been exactly ten years since Buick introduced the Enclave model as a 3-row crossover SUV. The first-generation of Enclave was retired in order to make a room for a brand-new model that offers modern design and more luxurious interior. New generation model was introduced at the 2017 New York Auto Show and now the 2019 Buick Enclave is ready to hit the dealerships. The Enclave rides on GM’s 1XX platform and it also uses a company’s fresh V-6 engine.
Totally redesigned Enclave added a new luxury trim called Avenir that lifted the bar to a whole new level. This trim will offer high-quality materials and some exclusive features.
Fresh and Sleek Look
The forthcoming 2019 Buick Enclave is a modern SUV and its exterior is inspired by the company’s recent concept cars. Both fresh and sleek, the premium design is finally here after complete failure over the recent years. Enclave owns a sporty stance with the new front mesh grille and headlights. Furthermore, the bumper is now more horizontally and the front fascia is like on concept Avista.
Some elements are now more balanced and with a chrome trim, the roof sits lower and the side mirrors look more aerodynamic. At the rear, Enclave sports slimmer taillights and one massive chrome strip between the taillights. The unique look is completed with a rounded rear glass and the chrome trim that runs all over from the roof toward the spoiler at the back.
2019 Buick Enclave Interior
The interior of some previous Enclave models didn’t look that bad as the exterior did. However, Buick fixed some issues for the upcoming model. New dashboard now looks more aerodynamic with a simple center stack and much fewer buttons and knobs. The controls are moved into the infotainment display, not all of them, but most. The display is 8-inches and the features like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Teen Driver. The instruments cluster is new as well, and the steering wheel offers a three-dimensional layout with simplified controls.
The door panels and seats are revised, and there is a plenty of premium materials inside the cabin. The mostly wood, and leather are there. Enclave is a well-equipped model, even with the standard trim, and it comes with features like keyless entry and push-button start. With no additional cost, an OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Wi hotspot is standard, and the cabin offers a tri-zone automatic climate control also as standard.
2019 Buick Enclave Colors
This model will be available with many exterior and interior colors. The exterior options include nine colors Crimson Red Tintcoat, Dark Chocolate Metallic, Dark Sapphire Blue Metallic, Ebony Twilight Metallic, Iridium Metallic, Quicksilver Metallic, Sparkling Silver, Summit White and White Frost Tricia.
However, the interior is consist of just four colors Choccachino w/Cocoa Accents w/Perforated Leather-Appointed Seat Trim, Ebony w/Ebony Accents w/Perforated Leather-Appointed Seat Trim, Ebony w/Dark Plum Accents w/Perforated Leather-Appointed Seat Trim and Light Titanium w/Dark Titanium Accents w/Perforated Leather-Appointed Seat Trim.
2019 Buick Enclave Engine Specifications
The new 2019 Buick Enclave will run on a company’s new 3.6-liter V6 with 310 HP and 266 pound-feet of torque. It is identical drivetrain as on outgoing model with the same cylinder count. However, the new engine is using an LGX V6 and it can be found on some models like Buick Lacrosse or GMC Acadia. This means that the approaching 2019 Buick Enclave will run with extra 14 horsepower.
The hydra-matic nine-speed automatic transmission is available, instead of a previous six-speed gearbox. The fuel economy in city/highway is 18/26 mpg (FWD) and 17/25 mpg (AWD).
2019 Buick Enclave all-wheel drive system
This model will be available in front-wheel-drive as standard and optional AWD system. The AWD system will give the car better and strong, efficient performance. It will be also offered in all trims except base one.
The newest model like its predecessor will offer two All-Wheel Drive options. In Premium and Avenir trim one will get Active Twin-Clutch, will on Essence trim be available Single-Clutch. The 2019 Buick Enclave Avenir is a range-topping and it will offer unique styling. The front fascia of this model is very attractive especially because of slick-looking 3D mesh grille. Furthermore, the lower roofline of this SUV is now sleeker and better designed. Also, it comes with sharper windshield angle and longer wheelbase, bi-functional LED projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, premium suspension, the new air ionizer that eliminates odors.
However, we must add that this model will get around the ten-percent increase in overall interior space than the base one. As for the safety, it comes with feature likes rear vision camera, seven airbags, rear park assist. Furthermore, this model will be available with Technology Package, this includes Adaptive Full-Speed Cruise Control, Automatic Braking, Stop and Go system, Premium Suspension Package, and many others.
2019 Buick Enclave Release Date and Price
The all-new 2019 Buick Enclave will hit the car markets at the beginning of 2019. The base model will cost around $40,000. This seven-seater SUV offers a top-range trim level called Avenir, and this version could cost over $55,000. The models like Mazda CX-9, Volvo XC90 and Audi Q7 will be main competitors.
