The upcoming 2019 BMW X1 is the smallest vehicle that carries the X designation. However, it is as same capable as the larger X3 or X5 models. The X1 is available with slightly taller ride height and all-wheel-drive system.

2019 BMW X1 Interior
The all-new 2019 BMW X1 is a 2-row, 5-passenger SUV with great space inside the cabin and plenty of cargo room. Rear-seats now comes with more legroom, and if that is not enough, sliding rear-seat option is available. The materials are premium feel, and the dash is soft-touch with some wood accents. The seats are heated, just like the steering wheel, but the fake-leather materials on those two feel a little cheap.
From standard equipment, we must mention an 8-way-power front seat, power tailgate, automatic climate control and rearview monitor. The standard infotainment system comes with a 6.5-inch screen, and audio system comes with 7-speaker AM/FM/CD player that supports Bluetooth and USB input.
If you are ready to pay for some optional features, then a higher resolution 8.8-inch monitor is recommendable. Panoramic Moonroof, leather interior, 12-speaker audio system are optional as well. Safety is also great, with a frontal-collision warning, active cruise control and automatic emergency braking are all included.

This model is very popular for the younger population. The 2019 BMW X1 M Sport is the vehicle that will get some exterior and inside the cabin upgrades. The new M package will get new three air intakes that are giving this model aggressive look. Also, the model will be painted in usual and very attractive Estoril Blue paint.

2019 BMW X1 Engine Details
A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine will power the all-new 2019 BMW X1. This drivetrain can produce up to 230 HP and 260 lb-ft of torque. The German manufacturer made a promise that the new X1 will hit the 0-60 mark in 6.4 seconds with the top speed of 129 mph.
This engine uses an 8-speed automatic transmission. In order to save fuel, there is a start/stop system that will shut off the engine at idle. The X1 SUV received some high ratings from the EPA. The fuel economy is the same as on the previous model, with 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.
2019 BMW X1 plug-in hybrid
The new 2019 BMW X1 is only offered in the United States with one engine. We also expect the plug-in hybrid system in near future. If we look at the past we expect the same engine that is present in BMW 225xe plug-in hybrid. This model is only available in China. It comes with a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-3 drive paired with an electric motor and 10.7-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery that is placed under the vehicle at the center.
We must mention that this battery placed on the floor will not affect cabin space. This battery will provide an electric range of approximately 37 miles. Using a 220-volt outlet It takes around 3 hours to charge to 80 percent.
However, with the full tank and full battery charge one will be able to travel 391 miles. The electric motor will make around 87 horsepower and 122 pound-feet of torque. The total output will be around 221 horsepower and 284 pound-feet.
This model will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 7.4 seconds. We also expect same features in the interior and exterior like in the current one model. We know for sure that BMW ConnectedDrive infotainment system will be offered with a BMW Remote app that allows one to monitor the vehicle from your smartphone.
2019 BMW X1 Price, Rivals and Release Date
The starting price of 2019 BMW X1 is $35,000. Some or all options loaded will raise the price over $40,000. Because of its versatility, the X1 will have a lot of competition. Buick Encore, Infiniti QX30, and Mercedes-Benz GLA are just some of the compact SUVs oppositions. Spring of 2019 is the most probable release date.
