The upcoming 2020 Audi Q6 e-tron is a four-door SUV that shares a lot of similarities with the Q5 model. It offers an electric powertrain that is very powerful. Even that it is a 4-door model, the Q6 will arrive in a coupe-like form with a low drag coefficient and a unique roofline.

From the inside, Audi made a virtual cockpit with plenty of screen-based features. The idea is to create an equally good rival to the Tesla Model X and 2020 Audi Q6 e-tron will try to take advantage. Moreover, the interior will gain a latest driving assistance amenities and plenty of other luxurious amenities. However, there is a rumor that this model will carry e-tron name (not Q6) but this information is not yet confirmed by officials.

The platform of the 2020 Audi Q6 e-tron is based on Audi’s second-generation architecture names MLB. This SUV is capable of hiding multiple drivetrain options and advanced autonomous-driving features. The vehicle will suffer an extensive aluminum work and it will see a boost in aerodynamics. The Q6 model is 16.0-feet long and 6.3-feet wide.

Thanks to the sharp lines and modern creases, it takes a coupe-like stance. As mentioned, 2020 Audi Q6 e-tron will share a lot of similarities with the Q5 model, from dimensions to the appearance. A swooping roofline with more angular edges is the first thing that is eye-catching. The front part is highlighted by a familiar grille and slimmer headlights. The all-new 2020 Audi Q6 e-tron can fit up to five passengers. Thanks to the swooping roofline, the headroom is decreased while the legroom is ample as before. Audi is famous for making a stunning interior, so we can expect the Q6 model to take a class-leading position. The seats are wrapped in premium leather and the interior will sport plenty of tech and safety features.

That includes an upgraded infotainment system that adds an intuitive display. The cabin is illuminated by an OLED technology and ambient lighting is looking astonishing. The forthcoming 2020 Audi Q6 e-tron is one of the best-looking models in its class. It offers a premium interior with a lot of luxury features. And on top of that, this is the quickest SUV in its segment. The fully electric version of the Q6 will arrive with a dual-motor powertrain using a high-energy battery pack 95kWh lithium-ion and capable150kW DC fast charging. However, the manufacturer claims that battery will be fully in 8.5 hours when connected to a 400V three-phase outlet. The interesting thing is that this battery measures 5.3 feet wide, 13.4 inches high, and 7.5 feet long. Furthermore, this is the size of a queen bed.

The upcoming model comes with Quattro system or all-wheel-drive configuration. The output of this model is kept in secret but from some speculations, the electric motor will be able to create 160 HP or 120kW. Furthermore, the total peak output may be around 370 kW.

The range of this mode will be 500km or 310 miles thanks to the inductive-charging option. Moreover, Audi is likely to create a plug-in-hybrid model as well. We also know that the Q6 will come with at least two conventional engines, however, Audi is yet to release drivetrain specs. Just for comparison, the Jaguar I – Pace model can go 220 miles on a single charge and it is able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4 seconds.

The 2020 Audi Q6 e-tron will arrive at the beginning of 2020. While the prices are unknown, we expect a slight increase from the standard model because of the latest updates and electric powertrain. In the market at this moment, the only model that will rival the new 2020 Audi Q6 e-tron is the Jaguar I-Pace. This model by officials starts at $70,000. However, at the same time of release, we can see other electric models to show on the market like Mercedes-Benz EQC or Tesla model X.
