Audi presented its Q2 crossover SUV at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. It is a luxury five-door vehicle with high-riding and unique design. Now, the 2019 Audi Q2 comes with both gasoline and diesel engines and restyled exterior. The technology inside the cabin is stunning and safety rating is getting better and better. Audi Q2 is very practical and is fun to drive.

The 2019 Q2 interior is typical Audi’s interior. Everything inside the cabin looks very modern and minimalistic. Upper and lower dashboard section are separated by satin chrome accents. Below that, an HVAC control sits with three practical knobs and with a row of buttons that are very intuitive.

The cabin of the 2019 Audi Q2 is definitely expressive and unique. The best part of the interior is the newest MMI screen and Audi’s Virtual Cockpit. This system will be only on higher trims. However, the 12.3-inch screen is added and it is the same screen that can be found in R8 and TT models. The configurable display shows speedometer, tachometer, and even maps screen.

Audi added a new color scheme and it looks tasteful. The dashboard and door panels are accented with a teal color and that makes the cabin less dark. At night, Audi Q2 is illuminated with white LED strips. The Bang & Olufsen audio system is optional and it offers 14 speakers. There is a plenty of space in this SUV, it measures 37.1 cu ft when rear bench is down.

Traffic jam assist and Safety

The model 2019 Audi Q2 comes with the newest system Traffic jam assist. This system works using front camera of the SUV and parking sensors. It takes steering in slow-moving traffic at speeds below 41 mph. Also, this camera will see traffic signs and warning one displaying speed limit or other information on the display.

The other features that will be advanced are adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, active lane assist, electronic stability control, side impact beams, low tire pressure warnings and also a rear child safety locks.

The upcoming 2019 Audi Q2 offers three gasoline and three diesel engine options. Diesel drivetrain is split into two power levels and it is yet to be decided which market gets which level. The smallest unit is a gasoline 1.0-liter three-cylinder TSFI. This is the most economical engine in the gasoline lineup. A 1.4-liter four-cylinder is an option as well, but the best choice is the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 195 HP. When it comes to diesel drivetrain, the base option is a 1.6-liter TDI.

The more familiar choice is a 2.0-liter TDI with two power levels. It can produce up to 150 HP or 190 HP. Audi didn’t provide any official information about the torque numbers. Diesel engines will benefit from a new Audi’s dual clutch 6-speed automatic and 7-speed transmissions. At this moment the company didn’t provide any information about its fuel economy. However, we know that this model will be using the new system Quattro all-wheel drive.

The 2019 Q2 model is Audi’s most affordable crossover that starts around $24,000 for the base model. This price is below the popular Q3 model that cost $33,000. The small SUV 2019 Audi Q2 will go on sale in the Autumn of 2018.
